When I grow up, I want to be Anna Maria
"Beautiful things come from failed plans I do believe."
This is a snippet from Anna Maria Horner's wise post about going with Plan B. (If you don't already read her blog, you absolutely should add it to your list.)
I love it that this post came along right before the Christmas season ramps up, because sometimes - I think especially with we creative folk - we have such a clear picture of how things are going to be, that we have a hard time just letting things "be."
Enjoy! And, if you get a little misty-eyed while reading, that's OK.

*Zu Zu Zu Zu Zu Zu!
How is it that I didn't know about CraftyPod? Podcasts! About crafts!
Shut up!
No, for reals! Even a series on crafty 'preneurs, and an interview with Amy Karol of Angry Chicken and the book Bend the Rules Sewing.
*I dare you to listen and not do a little do a little sixties twist to the music. Sort of very "Down with Love."

A Random Act of Kindness
Lately, as both of my readers (Hi Mom!) realize, I've been very lazy about posting on my blog. Well, laziness seasoned with a splash of blah. Really, nothing terribly interesting to report.
Until today, when I received a package in the mail that made me all warm and fuzzy and awwwwwww!! and fan my watery eyes with my hands. One of my favorite repeat customers, Anna, sent me a package of homemade cookies and a note with the sweetest compliments.
JUST BECAUSE! Seriously!
They are chocolately and oatmealy and toffee-y and just delish! (As you can see from the missing part of the cookie in the picture, because really, how could I be expected to go upstairs and fetch my camera on a empty stomach?)
Anna, you absolutely made my week! It was so incredibly thoughtful, and unexpected (which is a killer combination in a gift) and I'm absolutely dumbstruck that I was the recipient of such kindness, not to mention yumminess.
(OK, I'm totally fanning my eyes again.)

The Odd Couple, New Stuff, and a Sale
I wish I had a funny line about the above picture, or even a reason for posting it other than, "awwwwwww!!!", but seriously! HOW CUTE IS THAT???
In Etsy related news, I do have a few new fabrics! I love these two, and I also have them in a red colorway and a royal blue colorway. Coming soon, I promise!

"How About Orange" comes through again!
How cute is this? How About Orange came up with this idea - so simple, but so smart. She also has a tutorial for the cutest thumbtacks in the world.

Things that make you go "awwww....!!!"
Hilary at Wee Wonderfuls has been making and collecting and receiving the sweetest doll quilts to decorate her new baby's room, and finally, FINALLY she has posted pictures of the room.
So so sweet! The vintage mobile is heartbreakingly cute - make sure you see it!

Cupcake Cuteness
OK, so it's not on Etsy, and it's not handmade, but you can store your handmade cupcakes in Cup-a-Cakes...
I LOVE this! My daughter takes her lunch to school every day, and this would be perfect. No more squooshed icing!
Yeah, it doesn't take much to make me happy.
__________
Edited to add: To fill your new Cup-a-Cakes, try Ina's Coconut Cupcakes. I'm not a big fan of coconut, but these are delish!
Also, what is up with the levitating cupcake in the top container?
